Below are driving directions to Point Ruston’s Floating Sales Center.
Moored at the North Pier on Thea Foss Waterway in downtown Tacoma,
our ferry is located directly in front of Johnny’s Seafood Co. After your visit,
be sure to stop by Johnny’s to pick up some delicious fresh fish or chowder!
Please note: Flat-soled shoes (no heels) are recommended for the boat ramp
From I-5
Take Exit 133 toward City Center (I-705 Exit)
Take the City Center/A Street exit (stay to L side of exit), heading toward
City Center/A Street
Take first left on S 14th St. (It is immediately as you come off exit onto A St.)
Take first left on Court A (It is also immediately after you turn onto 14th)
Bear left turns into S 15th St, cross tracks after the stop sign and wind down
to stop light. (15th and Dock St.)
Turn right at the light onto E Dock Street and take an immediate right
into Johnny's Seafood Co. parking lot.
Head towards Point Ruston parking spaces. Once parked, face Thea Foss
Waterway and walk to your right towards the North Pier entrance.
You'll see the historic ferry Point Ruston.
From Gig Harbor / HWY 16
Head East on HWY 16
Take the exit toward I-5 N
Keep left at the fork, follow signs for I-5 N/Seattle and merge onto I-5 N
Take exit 133 toward City Center and follow I-5 directions above
From Ruston / Tacoma’s North End
Head Southeast on Ruston Way (toward downtown)
Continue on N Ruston Way
Merge onto Schuster Pkwy
Turn left at stoplight – S 4th St/E Dock St
Continue to follow E Dock St
Take a left into Johnny’s Seafood Co. parking lot (just before stoplight at
S. 15th St.) Once parked, face Thea Foss Waterway and walk to your right
towards the North Pier entrance. You’ll see the historic ferry Point Ruston.
From Downtown Tacoma
From Pacific Avenue, turn East onto 15th Street (keep right and head downhill)
Continue straight and wind down 15th towards stoplight at Dock Street
Take a right at the light
Take an immediate right into Johnny’s Seafood Co. parking lot, and head
towards Point Ruston parking spaces. Once parked, face Thea Foss Waterway
and walk to your right towards the North Pier entrance. You’ll see the
historic ferry Point Ruston.
