Fish Brewing Pub & Eatery | Will Join The Point Ruston Dining Destinations in 2017
Fish Brewing, the legendary Northwest brewers will be arriving very soon to the waterfront dining destinations at Point Ruston with a restaurant and bar of their own, and we can barely contain our jubilance. Fish Brewing has been brewing hand-crafted ales out of Olympia, Washington since 1993. Fish Brewing Company is owned by over 400 beer drinking consumers and connoisseurs, who pooled their resources to build a landmark brewery in Olympia, which is known for its quality water from local artesian wells. Fish Brewing has always utilized locally sourced Washington ingredients whenever they are available.
Starting off with a modest 15 barrel brew house, two 15 barrel fermenters, and one dairy tank, the local brewery would continue to grow into what it is now; an award-winning craft brewer known far and wide. Fish Brewing produces hand-crafted beers and ciders under three core brands: Fish Tale Ales, Leavenworth Biers, and Spire Mountain Cider, which can be found in 20 states and internationally, both in bottles and on draft. Fish Brewing also produces award winning spirits under the brand name Vitis, which are available throughout the Pacific Northwest. Fish Brewing operates a taproom in Woodinville, WA, along with a full service brewpub in Olympia, WA, which was featured on the Food Networks show Diners, Drive-in & Dives, and awarded Best Brewpub in Western Washington. The Fish Tale Brewpub in Olympia has been in town since the brewer got its start in ’93 making it the oldest brewpub in Olympia.
Originally the brewery and the pub were all under one roof, until 1996 when the brewing operations moved across Jefferson Street. In 1997 they released their first six packs of bottles and also started bottling in 22oz sizes in addition to the popular 12oz. The 2000’s started off with Fish Tale releasing their first Certified Organic beer, the award-winning Fish Tale Organic Amber Ale. Fish Tale Organic Pale Ale, Organic IPA, and Organic Blonde Ale have been brought into the family of ales since then. Eventually Fish Brewing hopes to brew all of their beers with only the best organic ingredients hoping to become one of the first all-organic brewers.
In the near future Point Ruston residents will be lucky enough to have their own Fish Brewing Pub & Eatery within walking distance, something other Washingtonians and craft-beer fans could certainly be jealous of! Having Fish Brewing come to Tacoma to be a part of our waterfront community is certainly a refreshing evolution for Point Ruston adding more variety to the wonderful dining destinations we already enjoy.
The restaurant spaces for the current phase of construction will be filled and completed once Fish Brewing Pub & Eatery and Farrelli’s Pizza are finished. We are eager to watch Fish Brewing Pub & Eatery grow with the community on the waterfront and even more excited to enjoy the products of their wonderful craft as they fill our bellies with joy and our hearts with delight.
Fish Brewing believes that fresh beer and cider, fine food, and enduring friendships are what life in the Great Pacific Northwest is all about. For more information visit www.fishbrewing.com
