Tacoma Farmers Market to Return to Point Ruston on June 7

With new safety protocols in place, the Tacoma Farmers Market will return to Point Ruston on Sunday, June 7th from 10:00 to 3:00 in its new location at the Public Market.

With support from the Washington State Farmers Market Association, WA Department of Health, and counties and cities across the state, farmer’s markets are back up and running just in time for the bountiful summer season. Deemed essential grocery, farmer’s markets are proving to be critical access points for residents is search of the freshest foods available in a safe environment.

Although you’ll find fewer vendors and new restrictions in place to keep everyone safe, fear not, your favorite fruits, veggies, and small businesses will be waiting.

This season will find the farmers market in a new location just outside of the soon to be open year-round Point Ruston Public Market. When open, Public Market shoppers will find more than 30 indoor vendors to complement the seasonal farmer’s market just outside.

Although the Public Market won’t be ready by the opening day of the farmer’s market, we are excited to give you a sneak peek at the new building and all the Public Market will have to offer!

Corona virus safety protocols will be in place so remember social distancing, bring a mask, and be kind to your fellow shoppers, market staff, and vendors. We are all doing the best we can to get our economy moving again and your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
