Artist Statement:
I was drawn to working with forged steel and glass based on the primal element that both mediums are created with fire.
The materials I work with can be very labor intensive to manipulate and incorporate together. Yet I feel that the end results of the work I create, reconfirms for me that the challenging process is worth it.
All of the energy that goes into creating my work is forever captured in the finished piece. That energy can be realized by people who view my work.
