The Grand Plaza is the centerpiece of Point Ruston, the Pacific Northwest’s premier waterfront destination. Over one acre in size, the Grand Plaza at Point Ruston features panoramic waterfront views, a state-of-the-art children’s sprayground, and a waterfront amphitheater perfect for events and concerts.
Here are some of the highlights of the Grand Plaza at Point Ruston:
- Fantastic Views of the Bay: While enjoying the Grand Plaza, be sure to take in the jaw-dropping views of the Puget Sound waterfront. Views span from the white-capped Olympic Mountains and continue along the picturesque shoreline of Commencement Bay all the way to Mount Rainier looming over downtown Tacoma; you really can see it all.
- Children’s Sprayground: Bring the kids to enjoy the Grand Plaza’s state-of-the-art sprayground that mimics the motion of salmon swimming upstream. Be sure to stick around after the sun goes down for a colorful led fountain light show from dusk to 10 pm. Open 7 days a week, 12 pm to 10 pm (Except during special events).
- Dining: Point Ruston already boasts several fantastic restaurants, including Wildfin American Grill located adjacent to the Grand Plaza, Farrelli’s Northwest Pizza, Mio Sushi, and BoRan Royal Thai Cuisine: with many more restaurants opening in the coming years.
